The importance of Sleep

/

A good night’s sleep works wonders.
When you don’t get enough sleep, you end up very grumpy and your body releases cortisol.
This increases dryness of the skin and inflammation. This is a common problem for children with excema.
It creates a vicious circle, where the dryness of their delicate skin causes irritation and stops them going to sleep, which in turn makes the dryness worse.
A skin balm rich in essential oils will go a long way to reducing the dryness, the irritation and consequently aid the child in getting peaceful sleep.
Repcillin top tip: Gently massage Repcillin oil into your face before you go to bed. This nourishes and absorbs into your skin overnight and leaves you looking fresh in the morning.

Nasty effects of sugar on your skin

/

Sugar, sugar!!
It seems a lot of our foods are spiked with hidden sugar, with dire consequences.
When feeding your baby, steam your own vegetables and fruit to make purees.
At least then you’ll know there’s no added sugar in their food.
Healthy intestinal flora is vital to good skin condition and immunity.
Start as you mean to go on.
